Recent Suffolk Status: Local.
Life history: Double brooded. Second brood individuals are quite variable in colour and markings compared to the spring brood.
Identification: Maidens blush is nomally freckled with darker scales. Blair's mocha has a less hooked forewing tip and no cross lines.
Habitat: Woodlands and forestry areas containing Beech.Recorded in 35 (60%) of 58 10k Squares.
